Nina Niknafs was born in Düsseldorf in 1993. She now lives and works in Berlin. As a child, she was a member of the JUNGEN ENSEMBLES AM DÜSSELDORFER SCHAUSPIELHAUS and the TANZHAUS NRW. From 2014 to 2018, Nina studied acting and rhetoric at the MEDIENAKADEMIE MÜNCHEN and attended the STELLA ADLER AKADEMIE in Los Angeles for a semester abroad. During her time in Munich, she was a member of the YOUNG ENSEMBLES at the BAYERISCHE STAATSSCHAUSPIEL for four years while studying. In 2016, Nina starred in the feature film WILLKOMMEN BEI DEN HARTMANNS. This was awarded the BAMBI in 2017 for the category BEST NATIONAL FILM. Nina also appeared in the JOYN series SINGLE DIARIES in the role of Tasmin. Further theatre engagements followed. In 2022 she played one of the leading roles in the play HERR KLEE UND HERR FELD at the HAMBURGER KAMMERSPIELEN. In addition to film and theatre work, Nina is also a voice-over artist and can be heard in productions of well-known streaming platforms. In autumn 2022 she was featured in the film DER TRAUM EINES LÄCHERLICHEN MENSCHEN by Svenja Heinrichs on 3sat. Additionally, she recently completed filming the lead role in the DAAD-funded German-Iranian project COLOR OF ATTACHMENT (directed by João Pedro Prado) at the HFF KONRAD WOLF FILMUNIVERSITÄT. In February 2023, Nina premiered in a leading role with the play NAHKAMPFZONE in Munich.
