Hi, my name is Marie Paulin.
 
 My biggest passions in life are acting and foreign languages. I have lived in Japan and Taiwan each and can speak Japanese and Mandarin Chinese.
 
 In Taiwan, I joined a Taiwanese Opera group. Getting an insight into traditional East Asian theatre as well as learning new skills was really interesting, no matter whether it was about singing, acting, fan movements or physical training with some martial arts elements, as Kung Fu or Tai Chi.
 
 One of the biggest difficulties at Taiwanese Opera was the language, as is is not in Mandarin, which I learned, rather than Taiwanese, the local direct, which sounds like a completely different language, making learning the script or understanding the dialogues very difficult.
 
 Still, this experience made it clear that I do not have to be afraid facing new challenges and that I can even perform in unknown languages.
 
 I am also a group fitness instructor, i.e. for Zumba.
