Joëlle Bargel was born in London, England. She grew up bilingual, speaking both British English and French, and now resides in Cologne, Germany, where she has mastered the German language over the years.
Joëlle is an actress specializing in theatre, film, and TV. In 2023, she joined the “Orange Planet Theatre“ based in Duisburg, run by Susanne Monnerjahn, where she appeared in “The Importance of Being Earnest“, “The Christmas Goose and the Green Carbuncle“, and various other short stories, portraying a range of different characters. She has also appeared in German theatre productions, such as “Job Suey“ and “Der Muttersohn“, produced by Kristof Stößel at “Stößels Komödie“ in Wuppertal.
Joëlle is a graduate of “Arts Educational Schools“, London, where she trained as both a professional dancer and actress. Always eager to discover and explore new dimensions in her acting, she is currently studying at the “Chubbuck Studio Köln“ under Nuriye Jendroßek. Joëlle has just finished shooting a short film role in “Fragments“ for the University of Westminster.
When Joëlle is not on stage, she works as a sculptor. After attending Paul Advena's Basisstudium Bildhauerei in Bonn, she has participated in various projects, one of which was the DA!Art "Check Your Dogma" art competition in 2024, where she exhibited her work at the Stadtmuseum Düsseldorf. Her artwork primarily consists of wood and clay.
Joëlle has continuously worked for WDR TV in Cologne as a set dresser and prop maker, assisting with shows such as „Zimmerfrei“, “Quarks & Co.“, and “Hier und Heute“.
A talented craftswoman, Joëlle also sews for freelance theatre groups as well as for herself.
When not working, Joëlle enjoys relaxing with a cup of tea, knitting, or reading. She is passionate about nature, with a particular love for coastal landscapes, and enjoys the company of cats.
