Christian Schaefer

* April 30, 1979 in Auhagen/Lower Saxony, German actor.

Christian Schaefer studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin from 2006 to 2010. There he performed at the bat Studio Theater in Marivaux’s „Seduction on Both Sides“ and in Bulgakov’s „Heart of a Dog“. He also appeared in productions by the Gefängnistheater aufBruch, including Müller’s „Wolokolamsker Chaussee“, Kleist’s „Penthesilea and Achilles“, and Schiller’s „Maria and Elisabeth“.

From 2010 to 2013 he was a member of the ensemble at the Theater Baden-Baden. There he appeared in productions including Shakespeare’s „Romeo and Juliet“, Zweig’s „Twenty-Four Hours in the Life of a Woman“, Flaubert’s „Madame Bovary“, and Fitzgerald’s „The Great Gatsby“. 

During the 2014-2015 season, he was engaged at the Theater tri-bühne in Stuttgart. There he appeared in productions including „Krach im Hause Gott”, „Geldreigen”, and „The Taming of the Shrew.” Since 2015, he has been performing at theater 89 in Berlin/Brandenburg in productions including „The Evil Spirit Lumpazivagabundus“, „Goodnight Story“, „The Hans Sachs Plays“, „Russian Evening“, „The German Small-Town People“, „The Broken Jug“, „The Playboy of the Western World“, „The Beaver Fur“ and „The New Menoza, or The Story of the Cumbanian Prince Tandi“.
