Michiel B.L. Korte, born Michiel Bernard Linus Korte (geboren 16 december 2002), is a multi-talented actor and author from The Hague. As a child, he attended the Rabarber Youth School of Theatre, where he developped his love of the craft. Later, he worked with the Dutch National Theatre, and appeared in television series like Brugklas and several commercials.  

Michiel is not just a strong actor with a natural presence, but also a gifted author. His books include The Ashburn Chronicles (2020), Ernestine (2022) and a modern, Dutch translation of A Midsummer Night's Dream (2025). His work is known for its distinctive language, wit and surprising depth. 

 

Michiel is also no stranger to musical theatre: he sang and acted in productions such as Cinderella (2024), Blood Brothers (2024) and Snow White (2025) by NJMT Productions. He performed at the Stadsschouwburg Zoetermeer as a back-up singer for René van Kooten, and provided live entertainment and presented the Easter show at Plaswijckpark in 2023. Michiel is a creative, open-hearted, and disciplined with a great sense of timing.
