Jordi Penner was born in Riva del Garda in 1987 and grew up in Val di Ledro, where stories soon became first a refuge, then a craft. For years he told them from the outside, as a director and screenwriter, until he felt the need to step inside the frame himself, both to direct actors better and to become the body and the voice that give a character shape.

He began with two years of theatre, then turned to training built specifically for the screen: Studio Cinema in Verona and, since this year, Monia Capiello's NuovaEra Film Academy. Having spent so long directing performers, he now wanted to know their work from within.

His first roles came quickly. He played the lead in the short films "BLU" and "Il Camaleonte", and appeared in a featured part in the Netflix series The Four Seasons. Each one differs in register and scale, yet he approaches them all with the same focus.

Since last November he has been represented by Marion Arras Talent Studio. An international education shaped between Bologna, Amsterdam and California lets him move easily between Italian and English and adapt to varied production settings. He brings to set the eye of someone who knows every department of filmmaking, always searching for the authenticity that remains his compass.
