Camilla Bianchini was born in Rome in 1987 into a family of artists. Her grandfather was the Italian voice of James Bond (and, as Camilla is always keen to point out, also of Baloo in The Jungle Book). She trained at the Teatro Azione Acting School, directed by Cristiano Censi and Isabella Del Bianco, while simultaneously earning a degree in Literature, Music and Performing Arts with a thesis on The Time of Indifference by Alberto Moravia, comparing the novel with the celebrated film adaptation by Citto Maselli. Literature and cinema have, in fact, continued to play a major role in her artistic journey.

Over the years, Camilla has worked extensively in theatre, particularly in the off scene—an essential training ground for anyone pursuing an acting career—as well as on larger stages such as Segesta and Ostia Antica. She created the show “Ricomincio da G.”, a tribute to Giorgio Gaber, in which she and actor Pietro De Silva, together with six musicians, retrace the artistic and personal journey of Gaber. She has written theatrical monologues and a novel, Call Back, published by Bertoni Editore, from which a podcast was later produced.

As for cinema, her first major experience was in the short film L’Appuntamento, winner of the Globo d'Oro in 2013. Among the feature films she has appeared in is the debut film by Milena Cocozza, “Letto n. 6”, a ghost story produced by the Manetti Bros.. On television, she had the opportunity to portray the celebrated writer Emily Brontë in a version of Le Interviste Impossibili for Rai 5. She also appeared in the series Vita da Carlo 3, directed by Carlo Verdone and Valerio Vestoso.

Most recently, she took part in Carlo Verdone’s latest film, “Scuola di seduzione”, set to be released on Paramount+ in the spring.
