After working for almost two decades in investment finance and tech, Jamil used his passion for acting and story-telling to pursue a career in classical theater (primarily Shakespeare), which he expanded to include film and television in the United States and the Middle East. With his experience using swords (trained by the Society of American Fight Directors) and firearms (trained by Jordanian Special Police), horse riding ability, and voiceover training, he always sought to build on his skills to bring a wide array of experiences and authenticity to his work. He is also a football (soccer) fan who holds coaching and refereeing licenses with the US Soccer Federation.

Jamil has native fluency in Arabic and English as well as a basic grasp on Dutch, Spanish, and French. Born in Amman, Jordan, he has a BA in Economics and Political Science from Bates College. An avid traveler, he splits his time between Los Angeles, New York, and Amman (Jordan).
