Nim is a unique Alt-RnB singer/songwriter, Actor and DJ. She has toured the world in Paloma Faith’s band for the past 14 years after they met when Nim was singing in the choir, Urban Voices Collective. She is also a songwriter writing hits which include Duke Dumont’s ‘Won’t Look Back’ that peaked at NO.2 in the uk top 40 and DJ SKT ‘Jack that Jack’ .
During this time she has also been honing her own artist project titled 'NYM'. Taking influence from her eclectic background, Scottish and Guyanese heritage and a musical mother she developed a sound all of her own, blending electronic, R&B, soul and Dancehall to create music that is built on positivity and empowerment.
In 2019 Nym released her debut single ‘Golden’ and proceeded to sell out her debut headline show two weeks later. Critical support soon followed from The Fader, Music Week and The Times as well as a spin on BBC6 Music and BBC introducing London.
As well as doing backing vocals for Paloma, Nim has also performed with and recorded for artists such as Jamie Cullum, Sam Smith, Ella Eyre, EVE, Florence and the Machine, Olly Murrs, Ella Henderson, Gary Barlow, Jimmy Somerville and Sigala to name a few.
