Sean Russell is a Scottish working-class actor, writer and director.

Recently he was Assistant Director on SUMMERFOLK, directed by Kash Arshad, at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.

At the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2025 he wrote and starred in And So On Theatre’s debut, 86. ★★★★★ "Undoubtedly a hidden gem of this year's Fringe" - The Wee Review

Other writing credits include, most notably, SINGING SANDS which earned Oor Theatre their nomination for the Scottish Arts Club’s Bright Sparks award, as best up-and-coming Scottish Theatre company. ★★★★ "A very accomplished, vividly acted and deeply moving exploration of home" - The Scotsman
