With over 40 years of experience on stage, television, and film, Steve Agyei has established himself as a versatile talent in the entertainment industry.

He began his career in the West End, starring in iconic productions such as Porgy and Bess at the Royal Opera House, directed by Sir Trevor Nunn, and Carmen Jones at the Old Vic, directed by Simon Callow.

His big-screen debut came in the film adaptation of Porgy and Bess, also directed by Sir Trevor Nunn, which is available on BBC iPlayer.

Steve's captivating presence led him to become the face of the BBC’s groundbreaking Athens’ Olympic Legends campaign.

This opportunity garnered the attention of executives at Trouble TV, who cast him in the successful TV show Bump and Grind, which aired for two seasons in the U.S.

Steve splits his time between London and the Highlands and on his first trip he was approached by Sky TV to appear on Sky Living’s Bigger Than Beyoncé.

Inspired by the beauty and tranquility of the Highlands, he embarked on a writing career, currently developing a six-part crime drama titled Highland Justice.

In 2022 he traveled to Serbia to shoot the Kia World Cup commercial directed by Salomon Lighthelm.

This year he portrayed Mr. Jenkins in the LGBTQ short film Best Dressed, which screens in November at the Highlands and Islands Short Film Festival.

Additionally, he co-wrote, choreographed and played the lead role of Chip Chapman in Beached, a short film created for the 48 Hour Film Project, for which he won the “Best Choreography” Award.
