About me

View profile
I’m Lorraine Hodgson, a professional actor with a dynamic career across theatre, film, and television. A graduate of the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art (1996), I’ve had the privilege of bringing a wide range of characters to life on stage and screen.

My theatre work includes standout roles such as Carol in Glass Hearts and Rita in The Naked Truth, performances that reflect my passion for emotionally grounded, character-driven storytelling.

On screen, I’m best known for my role as Ann McIntyre in Coronation Street, and have appeared in popular dramas including Malpractice, EastEnders, Holby City, and No Angels. In the independent film world, I starred in Dying & Other Superpowers, which was selected for 10 international festivals, including Cannes.

Commercially, my work spans national campaigns for brands like Cinch (alongside Rylan Clark), Holiday Inn Express, Tetley’s, ASDA, and McDonald’s. I also played the 'Bride' in The Streets’ award-winning music video Blinded by the Light.

I’m always open to exciting new projects, whether in drama, comedy, or commercial work, where I can bring energy, depth, and authenticity to the screen.
