Pei Yao Xu is an actor and multidisciplinary artist, born in China, raised in Montreal, now between Canada and Europe.
With roots in music and dance, she trained with John Strasberg and his Organic Creative Process.
She’s appeared in the post-apocalyptic feature Open Doom Crescendo and the short La Bonne pâte, which earned her a Best Actress nomination at the 48H Film Project in Paris.
In Montréal, My Beauty, she plays Joy — a role that mirrors her own experience of cultural duality and family connection, and had the pleasure of sharing the screen with the legendary Joan Chen.
