Lee Delong is an American/French actress who has lived in France and worked in Europe and elsewhere for 45 years. Her training includes both a formal theatre education from West Virginia University and further studies at the Ecole Jacques Lecoq in Paris, as well as at the Bouffes du Nord with Peter Brook.

Lee recently opened her new show, Ro & Juju, to standing ovations at the National Theatre Sarajevo. Ro & Juju, written and directed by Lee, with songs by Darko Rundek, is a clown deconstruction of Romeo and Juliet. With nine clowns and two musicians, it marks the first time that clown has appeared on a main stage in Southeast Europe. 

Lee played in Le Banquet by Mathilda May, which toured after a successful month at the Théâtre du Rond-Point and then three months at the Théâtre de Paris. The play was nominated for three Molières awards and won two.

Lee was awarded a life achievement award last year by MESS International Theatre Festival for her contribution to theatre. For her solo show, A Woman Alone, by Dario Fo and Franca Rame, Lee received the "Best Actress" award and the "Audience Award" at the MESS International Theater Festival in Sarajevo. A Woman Alone also received the Mravac Award in Mostar, Bosnia, for Mastery of Acting. This performance was created at the Théâtre du Chaudron, La Cartoucherie, Paris. Lee is the recipient of many other awards for acting and directing.

Lee performed many times on the mythical stage of the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, where she worked under the direction of Emilio Sagi and also Robert Carsen.

On screen, Lee has worked under many directors, including Cédric Klapisch, Luc Béraud, Fabrice Cazaneuve, Julie Delpy, Luc Besson…. For Besson, Lee played Mrs. Kerman in Arthur and the Invisibles and Arthur and Malthazar's Revenge. Lee played Tarentino’s agent in Dix Pour Cent and appeared as herself in Gutsy, produced by Hillary Clinton. Mrs. Clinton and her daughter Chelsea took a televised class with Lee.
