I’m an actress, writer and theatre maker.

I grew up in Barcelona, where I studied Journalism at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona and attended the Col.legi de Teatre. I then trained in Paris in the École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq (1996-98) and in 1999 I moved to London and became Co-Artistic Director of theatre O. I have co-created and performed in all of the company’s shows and have toured the world with original work.

What I love most about my work is being inside of it and collaborating with others to create pieces that are born from the collective work done in the rehearsal room. I thrive improvising and creating from scratch. I’m interested in working with stories where human struggle (of any kind) is at the centre and experimenting with form, mixing text, movement, film, and humour with craftsmanship and imagination. I’m passionate about exploring how my work links to society. In this field, my most significant involvement has been with The School Theatre Project; creating and delivering a brand-new curriculum to introduce theatre into all state schools in Saudi Arabia (2022-24).

In the past 10 years, I have worked extensively as an actor in film and television, with roles in Call the Midwife (BBC) and Killing Eve (BBC) amongst others and I currently have a regular role as a  Forensic Pathologist in ITV drama Grace.

My longstanding collaborations include work with Phyllida Lloyd in the Shakespeare Trilogy project, with filmmaker Daria Martin, writer and theatre maker Jonathan Young, and composer Melanie Wilson. I love languages and am fluent in Spanish, Catalan, French, and English, and currently studying Russian and Arabic. I’m working towards getting my Karate black belt in the next couple of years…
