I am Denisa Tudora, 26 years old. I’m from Bucharest, but I chose to study in Cluj-Napoca. I am currently a graduate of the Faculty of Theatre and Film at Babeș-Bolyai University, both bachelor’s and master’s degrees. I had the opportunity to study under professors such as Irina Wintze, Ciprian Scurtea, Camelia Curuțiu, Tudor Lucanu, and Miklós Bács, and during my studies, I worked with directors Horia Suru, Andrea Gavriliu, Ștefan Lupu, and Bobi Pricop. I have always been fascinated by physical theatre, which led me to work with Jan Fabre and the performers from Troubleyn — both in Cluj, during a workshop, and later in Antwerp, at the invitation of Ivana Jozic. Following these encounters, I created my first one-woman show, Little Body on the Wall, based on Jan Fabre’s text of the same name.  I have participated twice in the Gala HOP (The Young Actor’s Gala), and at the moment I am back home, in Bucharest. When I’m not working on a project, I love spending my time reading. I don’t have a favorite book — I believe that every book is a unique experience, and I try to understand its particularities. Besides that, I practice extreme water sports (kiteboarding, surfing, and wakeboarding) and I dance.
