Matteo was born and raised in Bologna. For 10 years he worked with a children's theatre company in his city, learning the craft day by day, between stage and rehearsal room. When he wasn’t performing, you could easily find him on a motocross bike, and something of that precarious balance, risk, and concentration has stayed with him to this day. Before moving to Rome, he spent some time at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York, to truly understand what happens when the American dream meets acting. He walked the Camino de Santiago and traveled across Europe in a van with Kerouac’s On the Road always in his pocket. Because some directions can’t be drawn on a map.
