Julia Dorothee Brunsch, née Schmelzle, was born in Stuttgart in 1985.
From 2006-2010 she graduated from the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich.
During her academic training she took part in several productions at the Munich Kammerspiele.
Among other things in "The Storm", directed by Stefan Pucher.
This production was invited to the 2008 Berliner Festspiele Theatertreffen.
In 2009 she played in "The Broken Jug" at the Residenztheater in Munich, directed by Tina Lanik.
2013-2014 she acted in the play "Die Firmen Dankt" at the Theater Kontraste, Winterhuder Fährhaus in Hamburg.
In 2014, she animated the animals in the award-winning commercial
Peta-Tyke "The Last Appearance", directed by Andreas Brunsch.
In 2014 she worked with Schorsch Kamerun on the video installation for the art exhibition "Ordinary Freaks" in Graz.
In 2015 she was shown in the cinema with her short film "Love is Perspective" as part of the Munich International Film Festival.
2015-2016 she played Helena in "The Fairy Queen" at the Theater Lübeck, directed by Tom Ryser.
In 2017 she played Jessica in Marius von Mayenburg's "Piece of Plastic", at the Theater Kontraste, directed by Meike Harten.
In 2018 she shot 2 short films "Freischwimmer" and "The Magician"
with students of the Dffb, direction: Gaya von Schwarze and Liel Simon.
Over the years, Julia Dorothee Brunsch has also worked as a voice actress for various series at Studio Hamburg.
In 2020 she shot "Süsser Sommer" for the Ludwigsburg Film Academy in cooperation with Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris for Arte, SWR, director: Sabrina Mertens.
In 2021-2022 she appeared in several television productions, including Großstadtrevier, directed by Torsten Wacker and ...
Tatort-"The murderer in me", directed by Niki Stein.
In 2022 she played the leading role Bernadette in the feature film
"Bernadette Wants to Kill", directed by Oliver Paulus and Robert Herzl.
2021-2022… she joined Frank Campoi and the artist collective New Ground Performance.
